Pediatric Physiotherapists provide assessment and treatment of movement disorders of the trunk, arms, and/or legs with the aim to assist children to move more independently in all environments. Physiotherapists provide functional exercises and prescribe therapeutic equipment (e.g. walkers). Pediatric Physiotherapists can help children with:
- Developmental and neurological motor conditions, such as cerebral palsy
- Low muscle tone
- Rheumatological Conditions, such as juvenile rheumatoid arthritis
- Brachial Plexus and spinal cord injuries, burns, car accidents, amputations, falls, Torticollis, fractures, and sprains
